On the biggest stage in the world, one night, 13 minutes. The Super Bowl Halftime Show has forever hosted the biggest names in music since its first live artist performance in 1967. Since then, bands and musicians far & wide have been invited to showcase their hit music, from Beyoncé, Prince, Michael Jackson, Maroon 5, U2, Madonna, and more. Each artist brings with them an authentic flare to their craft within the short time frame they’re given.
This year HipHop artist and singer, Usher will be taking the stage for the first time to take us back to the early 2000s and even give us a sneak peek into the energy of his latest album as he embarks on his “Past Present Future” tour in the fall.

Millions of fans and loyal listeners had culminated their preconceptions on what they thought Usher would be delivering on that main stage. Including the tracks that he’d perform, onstage choreography, and surprise features. Multiple sources had teased Alicia Keys to be joining him onstage for their collaborations on “My Boo”... and those sources were exactly right with Keys welcomed onstage with her single"If I Ain't Got You" and joined together for their 2004 hit. Lil Jon & Ludacris even headed to Vegas to perform their track "Yeah!" with the addition of H.E.R rocking it on the guitar for "Bad Girl".
Nothing could have prepared us for what he brought to the table with this nostalgic performance. From his unbelievable vocal ability to mesmerizing choreography, you couldn’t keep your eyes off the screen. He brought along a sentimental ode to HipHop music through his hit singles, such as "Caught Up", "Make Love In This Club", "Confessions Part II", and "U Got It Bad" that reminded us of the impact he has had on the music industry and artists today.
Through his use of the football field as his stage to the elaborate accompanying dancers, musical ensemble, unparalleled footwork, and celebration of 20 years of Usher's hit album "Confessions", we truly couldn't have asked for a better Halftime Show.
He’s highlighted the true meaning of a performance artist as he blends the ease of his dance movements to his soulful sound & instrumental lyrics. This halftime show performance may be difficult to beat in the years to come and had us at the edge of our seats, ready for the upcoming tour.
