The ticket sales were open for presale in November 2022 and brought on an immediate shut down of Ticketmaster's site in seconds. Despite the alleged monetary differences for Swiftie concert seekers who could solely use the site to purchase Era's tour tickets, over 3.5 million fans were at the ready for the pre-sale, solidifying it as a record for Ticketmaster.

The tour beginning in mid-march and running until early August is a culmination of multiple hits, all of her albums, a plethora of visuals, and a whole lot of Taylor. From show-stopping choreography to perfectly curated onstage architecture, she's surprised all of us with each detail. The custom outfits in itself are a major highlight of the performance as they're a recreation of her previous looks and ode to each stage of her life in a more elevated and matured manner. Despite each performance following a similar routine, Taylor's brought on added bonuses for her fans with surprise performances from major artists like Ice Spice, Phoebe Bridgers, and Marcus Mumford. She's even performed two special vault songs of her choosing for each live show.

The Era's tour has been marked as a piece of music industry history but Taylor has been beloved worldwide sine the beginning.

The massive success Taylor has had since she first released music in 2006 has continuously made headlines. From her speed in which she curates self-written masterpieces, the updates on her relationship status to personal, and sensitive matters, the press keeps the conversation at the top of every news story.

After years of keeping her head down, she's more recently spoken out amongst the struggles she has endured and strives to take back her power. Whether it's from her controversial yet culturally significant music such as 'The Man', released in 2020 to making highlighting topics using her platform, she's undoubtably making a major change in society.

Despite the publicized life she lives, there's much more to Taylor than we'll ever know. The film 'Miss Americana', released in 2020 allows us to see an unfiltered & personable view into Taylor's life. The Netflix original dips into her personal stardom life from the beginning of her presence in the industry to present day. Between the expectations of holding things back to presenting a facade to appease music industry professionals and fans, we got an in-depth look of the realism that is Taylor Swift. Similar to many of us, Taylor's experience with abrasive opinions from others haunts us and for her it did some immense damage.

Viewers were given the opportunity to be a part of an intimate conversation discussing mental health, body dysmorphia, and eating disorders. The internal battle between societal standards and the want to be healthy is a difficult spot to be in and to top it all off, the millions of comments Taylor receives regarding her physical appearance leads her into an unhealthy mindset. Her ability to be so vulnerable allows others to feel comfortable in sharing their stories, connect with one of the biggest names in the music industry, and to show those who suffered or perhaps still do that recovery is possible & always worth it.

Taylor is also making her voice heard when it comes to taking her power back within her music. Her first 6 albums were released with Big Machine Records, which own a majority if not all of the rights to her music. In 2019, the selling of those hit albums became public knowledge and despite the sensitive subject, she's made it known to the public of the work she's putting in to re-record her music. The releasing of her old discography in present day became more than just gaining the rights to her masters but is also a passion project that she feels strongly about. Maintaining the rights to her music was something she prioritized and despite the hard work that is going into this project, it's become a wholesome full-circle moment as she revisits her past self and gives a modern twang to her older music.

This year, as she revisits her previous albums and brings us back to her previous hits and stages of her life including heartbreak, growth, perseverance, and more, we're feeling all of the nostalgia through her 4 hour set. From the reigning confidence as she's taking over the stage to reconnecting with fans after 5 years, the Eras Tour is a sight to see for any fan, Swiftie or not.
