Spotify, one of the biggest streaming platforms for bands and musicians alike, has introduced the official "Billions Club", featuring albums and singles that have breached the billion stream mark. Some of the biggest artists to date, both past & present have achieved this status while others strive to reach this newfound title.
With this series just entering the game as a massive achievement for artists, there are a plethora of artists who have been nailed to the wall for this global award.

Fall Out Boy: American Beauty / American Psycho
The pop punk and pop rock band, known for their addictive music, introspective lyricism, and consistent music released their debut album in 2015. The group received worldwide appraisal for this unique piece of art and its inclusion of multiple samples from other successful artists, such as Montley Crue, Suzanne Vega, and the Sex Pistols. Its single "Centuries" continues to be ranked as their leading song and has become their entryway into Spotify's rankings with over 1.12 billon streams to date.
Justin Bieber: Justice
Bieber fever continues in 2021 with his multi-platinum body of work that featured countless artists, including Benny Blanco, Giveon, Burna Boy, Khalid, and more. Song after song of vulnerability, long time and newcomer Justin fans adore the selection of songs even today - from its blend of melancholic energy to pumped up jams, you can't go wrong with any of them. The song "Ghost" climbed up the ranks on Spotify, who handed over the invite to the Billions Club with way over 1.43 streams.
Lil Nas X :MONTERO
One of the most successful albums dropped in 2021 was from none other than Lil Nas X with "MONTERO". The HipHop & alternative track list delivered a jaw-dropping addition to the world with multiple leading tracks, such as "INDUSTRY BABY" feat. Jack Harlow, "MONTERO (CALL ME BY YOUR NAME)", and "THATS WHAT I WANT", all breaching over 1 billion streams and welcoming him into the Billions club.
Harry Styles: Fine Line
From Harry's 2019 drop, "Fine Line" is a culmination of feel-good songs, including "Watermelon Sugar", "Falling", and "Adore You", which have all been added into the Billions Club. Although these three songs aren't the first to join the group, as his song "Sign of the Times" was the first hit record to reach 1 billion in 2017.
Dua Lipa: Future Nostalgia
The pop queen herself, Dua Lipa dropped the Grammy winning album "Future Nostalgia" in 2020, which quickly gained her the entry into Spotify's exclusive club with "Don't Start Now" and "Levitating" feat. DaBaby with almost 2 billion streams. Her song "Cold Heart" with Elton John followed closely behind with 1.8 billion and only secured her further.
Rihanna: Anti (Deluxe)
Rihanna's 2016 album, featuring the hit single "Love On The Brain" continues to reign supreme even 8 years later. The song currently sits with 1.3 billion streams and is followed closely with some of her other highest charting tracks.
Olivia Rodrigo: SOUR
With the introduction of pop punk into her discography, Olivia Rodrigo's 2021 album shed light on one of the most proliferated genres of music. Besides winning countless accolades, being crowned one of the top albums of the year, and going multi-platinum in multiple regions, she entered the Billions Club with over 1 billion streams for "drivers license", "deja vu", and "traitor" with more on the way.
Britney Spears: In The Zone
Britney's "In The Zone" was welcomed with open arms into the exclusive club with the track "Toxic"at 1.145 billion streams and growing. The 2003 release continues to be a mecca of art and pop culture references, which have paved the way for the future of the genre.
Bad Bunny: Un Verano Sin Ti
Bad Bunny's 2022 album continues to be the epitome of success with elements of reggeaton & indie pop through the collection of over 20 tracks. With 5 accolades under his belt, the singer and performer entered the club with "Me Porto Bonito", "Ojitos Lindos", Tití Me Preguntó", and more. His following album, released in 2023 will be following suit shortly.
DJ Khaled: Grateful
DJ and producer, DJ Khaled dropped his multi-platinum album "Grateful" in 2017 with countless features, including Beyoncé, Sizzla, Travis Scott, Rihanna, Chance the Rapper, and more. The pop & rap piece of work earned him his highest charting songs to date with "Wild Thoughts" feat. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller and "I'm The One" feat. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper, and Lil Wayne - both peaking above 1 billion and gifted the award into Spotify's Billions club.
Billie Eilish: Happier Than Ever
The 2021 album "Happier Than Ever" was a bridge between Billie's youth and adulthood where she explored a more intricate area of her vocal ability and songwriting. She became more vulnerable and allowed us listeners to take a look into the window of her life. Fans adored seeing this other side to her musical talent, which led to the success of "Happier Than Ever". Although this wasn't her initial introduction into the Billions club, Eilish's self-expression and authenticity gave us the ability to see a more clear version of her.

Most recently, Ariana Grande received countless awards for her discography and breaching the 1 billion stream mark. Through this success, she was a part of Spotify's installment of “Billions Club: The Series”, which has since included Jung Kook, Post Malone, LISA, and more on the way. This new Youtube playlist from the DSP's personal channel allows artists to formally celebrate their achievements and fans to connect 1:1 with their favorite musician.
