Let's dig into a few of her most popular singles...
The track flowers, although upbeat and bringing us a whole lot of energy, has a more melancholy background to it when you strip away everything besides the lyrics. Miley continues to explain how each chorus emits more confidence as though she's convincing herself into the words she sings. Once we reach the final chorus verse, you can hear the full blown belief and self-assurance she has in the lyrics.
Her single 'Wonder Woman' is a powerful and heartfelt ode to her mother as the lyrics describe an individual who shows up in life as happy, strong, and able despite living through immense pain and heartache.
'The Thousand Miles' is a personal track as she writes about the unbreakable relationship she holds with her sister and the joy they share together. The track was originally more melancholic than the released version as its inspiration was a close friend's loss of her own sister and Miley's fear of losing her own. The current the track holds a different and more uplifting meaning than where it begun.

Miley finds a connection to the lyrics in not only telling a story but as though she's having a conversation with the audience. Whether it's shared pain and passion to sadness and intimacy, Miley adores connecting herself to the songs that she writes.
The entirety of the album is meant to read like an act, one half being AM and the other being PM. Such that the beginning half holds an immense amount of energy and the idea of a fresh start to a new day. Whereas the other half contains the end of the day feelings like relaxing and winding down as well as the exploration of the other side of the night, a more wild and fun atmosphere.
All in all, Miley poured her heart, soul, and emotions into a beautiful setlist that not only depicts struggle and pain but the unbreakable bonds she has with those around her.
