The 2022 album "RENAISSANCE" is a culmination of 16 original tracks that celebrate Black Culture, self-acceptance, pure fun, and authenticity. With inspiration drawn from innovate pioneers from previous decades and influence within the dance space, this expressive album emits an energy unlike anything Beyoncé released before.
The first track to tease the upcoming album, "BREAK MY SOUL", introduced the release perfectly as we're brought into the energetic realm of the album blended with rays of confidence. Today, the song continues to be one of the top charting tracks from the album, almost surpassing 400 million streams on Spotify alone. Its nostalgic funk & dance sound is nostalgic of 80s & 90s club beats with a modernized twist that gives it an addictive quality, all while paying homage to artists who laid the foundation.
Its title: "Renaissance" is defined as the 'rebirth' or 'rediscovery' of all aspects of life, including learning and art as the world underwent a transitional period. Beyoncé titled her album as such to call attention to areas of present culture that need more representation and positivity within the
media.
