Another Battle For Music Rights As Morgan Wallen Exposes His Old Team & Releases "Spin You Around (1/24)"

One of the most prolific and popular country music stars to date, Morgan Wallen released a surprise track from his early days in the music industry, titled “Spin You Around (1/24)”. Despite there being no promotion, teasers, and only a few hour window until its release date, Wallen headed to social media to announce the incoming song and the intentions behind it. He even provided a detailed explanation of his current battle to obtain the rights to his old music.


With over 20 accolades and triple the amount of nominations, Morgan Wallen is critically acclaimed for his personalized spin on country music, relatable lyrics, and catchy tunes through his continuous work to achieve his artistic dreams over the span of his 10 years as a recording artist. His most recent album, “One Thing At A Time” snagged him multiple awards, including Top Country Album, Top Country Song for “Last Night”, and Top Male Artist.

He entered the new year with a simple teaser to some incoming music, which had fans at the edge of their seat ready for something new. Despite him taking the time to curate songs from the heart, he personally decided to release the re-recorded single from his first album "Stand Alone". He took to social media to announce it just a few hours ahead of its official drop, giving fans a glimpse into the reasoning behind his decision and the current epidemic he’s in. 


He exposed his old team and their attempts to drop this exact tracklist without his permission and led Wallen to do so on his terms. He apologized for the lack of creativity that went behind these songs as they don’t fit who he is as a musician, however, he felt inclined to do so as he fights for his music rights. The singer promises new music on the wa this year as he’s set to record something new next month that is truly creative and is authentically him.
